Generation GAP

The following piece is written by my sis dearie!!!
While reading, I just felt, she has grown up so much...her poems have got transformed from
"mother mother mother" to what you read below!!
And yet she has retained her cheeriness all throughout...

I am sure she would be pleasantly surprised to find her poem published in this blog....but now has come a day, when I am feeling honored to post her write ups here...

Kudos to you Meds!!!

you asked me to not to listen to radio

and i replied "sorry dad !but i am 

                  addicted to radio"

you advised me.

you counselled me

but i did not hear a word 

bcoz i felt "maggie wid out music/radio 

is soo not me"

you came a step down and told me

"ok maggie listen to radio

but only when u r sleepy

or wen u r feeling lethargic"

but i am such a prat that i 

thought this does not suite me

Maybe this is what is called as

                   generation gap

our parents and our selfs

            we lie in her lap

how much ever a parent tries to be

                              hip and hype

we feel ,"oh god !why is he/she trying

              to be our type?!"

who should be sympathized ?

parents or kids?

we enjoy metallic tunes of guitar

whereas they enjoy melodious tunes

                           of sitar

we adore movie stars,collage rock stars etc

whereas they consult an astrologer

                 to calculate  our stars

and try to understand the reason 

behind our this kind of behaviour

over a few years

 when we become parents

we find our selfs advising our children

the same thing  our parents

advised us over the last few yrs
